  Hi fellow bloggers! This blogging thing is pretty wonderful, hunh? Glad to see so many people of color carving out a space for themselves on the web and in the wide world. 

   

  I began blogging for passion with some hope that it could lead to more. It has! I recently started blogging for a company in California. While that gives me less time for my own blogs, I'm excited that I don't have to decide between blogging for passion and blogging for business.

   

  I'm excited about connecting with everyone. That's my favorite part of blogging! I'm also curious about what drives everyone on BBC to blog. Is it passion, business, or both?

  I think its awesome that you turned something you love into a business venture! I blog because im very passionate about what I blog about. My blog is about the challenges young people face trying to live holy in times like these! I go by the motto "Saved by his grace and not ashamed to say it"! I blog because I feel like im on a mission from God to tell others about the benefits of a holy and pure lifestyle.   I blog for passion and Business. I first started blogging back in 2009. I am a music producer (mostly hip hop), and I use to read music blogs all of the time. I decided to give it a shot and start my own. Well things were moving to slow, so I ended it. So in 2011, I decided to try it again, but it was centered around gossip. The more I blogged about gossip, the more I realized that I was just like every other blog. So I decided to blog about things that matter to me and my people. So I turned my blog into a place where my members can be interactive, and share anything that is going on in their lives, or any concerns. I am trying to make this into my full time job, but it has its challenges. I love to collab with different bloggers for new ideas. I love blogging because it allows me to meet different people, and we are able to share information. I love to see black people working together. My blog is www.blackconvo.com. Happy Blogging!

  I started blogging a little over two years ago for passion which has led to business. I use my blog as a way to inspire, so I am transparent in my approach and discuss things that I have gone through or what I am going through. Blogging led to writing and publishing my first book and my first book led me to put some of the message I share on t-shirts. But it is definitely the passion that keeps me posting, building and creating more.

  Rhachelle! Thanks for sharing. That encourages me to keep going with the business side of blogging and my goal to have a book published. What I really admire is the inspirational and transparent approach. That resonates with my values as well.

  Yes!!! Sarah, definitely pursue publishing your book. We go through things and experience ups and downs to help others, not to be burdened down with shame. Transparency is like a fresh breath of air to me and the most empowering place to be in.

  I'm sort of in the same boat as Kataurus. I started blogging in 2009, but stopped because of family obligations. But that desire was still there.
  
  I mostly blog about popular issues. But I'm currently trying to add a different and unique spin to my blog.
