The Purpose of Mentoring Update Your Identity - Taking Ownership Mentoring, Education and Leadership
The Purpose of Mentoring Update Your Identity Many of us have had someone who has been in a mentoring position within our lives. As we reflect on those relationships, we can say that from some mentors we have gained much and from others we gained not much

What about African, Caribbean, Latin and Afro-European literature? Our experiences will be always be limited if we take on the attitude of, nothing exists beyond our shores. Africans all over the world have so much to learn from and teach to, one another. First we'll have to acknowledge that we all fall under the category of Africans and we have to accept our family on the continent and the rest of the world and they'll have to accept us. There is an amazing amount of art being created all the time by US but if WE don't recognize it then we're losing our legacy. We all have to make more effort to develop ways to exchange and promote African arts among our fellow Africans and the rest of the world if we want to see our artists gain the recognition that they deserve.  less

It's putting out an image of personalities that should not be subscribed to. Passion has been displaced with lust, filth and Ignorance. Whenever I turn the pages of Black Expressions all I mostly see is something about sex, and drug dealers, and just ghetto drama ugh. *Disgusted as I type*. Just venting a little, but I know all is not lost. I've heard rave reviews about Ernessa T. Carter's "32 Candles" Has anybody read it? You are so right!  I hate going into my local bookstore and walking over to the African American Lit section only to find Toni Morrison hidden behind 80000 copies of "Candy Licker" and "Welfare Wifeys".   Rotflmao! There is a root to white supremacy. It always seem that no matter what racist say their reason were for denying people of color a right or claim that is rightfully theirs it all boils down to one thing.  It’s not only the fact that racist hate people because they are not his same color. &...

There are some writers today complaining that the 99 cent eBook is ruining the game for them.  I’m sorry but that’s nonsense.     This isn’t a new argument. In fact, it’s just another re-hash of an old argument that goes back as far as the early 2000s. &nb...
