  • About Me I was born, raised and mis-educated in Washington, DC. I've been on the planet for 46 years, and am looking forward to 47 more years-only more loving and gentler. I am VERY concerned about any and all facets of behavioral codes that are imposed upon men of color around the globe. I believe in the ultimate restoration of my people. I try (though not always successful) to include GOD in everything I say and do. I am happily married to a dutiful wonder Black man. My favorite color is BLACK (the presence of all color) and my favorite sound is music. My favorite theorist is Dr. Frances Cress Welsing and my favorite exercise is thought.

The inspiration is from a deep personal place. I lost my mother at the age of 4 she was only 22. It has had a profound affect on me my entire life. I remember being 22 being full of life being hopeful, driven to follow my dreams and recently I thought of my mother and how she too must have been full of life with dreams yet they were never realized. Her mother who raised me had dreams of relocating to California when she lost her daughter and took on the responsibility of 3 small children and never left DC. I am now 47 and have yet to reach my full potential. So I decided to change that and reach for my dreams and hopefully in some way reach some of my mothers and grandmothers too.  less

    It's kind of hard to take some of it seriously when non intercha...  moreIt's kind of hard to take some of it seriously when non interchangeable words are used, like "No/Know or They're/Their and There. When I come across blatant spelling errors and speak up, the first thing that happens from others perspective is instantaneous anger. From my standpoint, how can you take a writer seriously if he or she can't seem to grasp or get a decent handle on the English language. But again, that's just my *humble* opinion.
