When are we ever going to get past the us against them Black men/Black women debate. Its just a ploy to further divide us instead of bringing us together. One day I hope we will be able to have an open discussion without the finger pointing and name calling on either side.

There are so many representations of Black women in America, if someone chooses to stereotype all of us based on watching one video of Sweet Brown..They are the ones with the problem.

Everyone knows who MLK is but many do not know about Ella Baker who is really the main driving force behind promoting youth involvement in the Civil Rights Movement. If it wasn't for Ella Baker, SNCC would not have been as powerful and MLK would not have had the resources he needed to spread the messages of the movement. However, it could bring backlash because Zimmerman's defense team could say that the public is putting him on trial. Thus, he may not get a "fair" trial in his city if it ever does go to trial. I'm not saying that I agree with this. but I think they are going to try to use it to make Zimmerman out to be a victim.

    I think that for the most part, Black women are not recognized enough during Black History Month.
